Obituary for Paul J. Gevry

Paul J.  Gevry
Paul J. Gevry, 84, of East Windsor, entered peacefully in to eternal rest on Monday March 27, 2017 in the comfort of his home. He was the beloved husband to the late Edna (Petengill) Gevry and to his 1st wife Mariam. Paul was born on January 23, 1933 in Addison, VT to the late Velmore and Aurise LaFountaine and had resided in East Windsor for 25 years and in Manchester, CT before that. He served his country with the U.S. Army. Paul was a loving family man. He grew up in a large, extended family which made him into the caring, selfless man that all who came in contact with him loved immediately. His love for cars and racing brought him to become the manager of P.C.A. in East Hartford for many years. His infectious personality had turned customers into family quickly. After retiring, he took his knowledge of cars and hardworking personality and worked at Advanced Auto Parts in East Windsor until his passing. Paul was a true friend, father, brother, grandfather and uncle and that is a treasure. He was the greatest of them all.
Paul is survived by his daughter & son-in-law; Marie and Tom Gist of Enfield, son & daughter-in-law; Randy & Judy Gevry of VA, son; Brian Gevry of VA son; Michael Gevry of VA and his step-children; Thomas Duchesneau, Mark Duchesneau both of CT and Frank Duchesneau of CA, his three beloved grandchildren; Justin, Ashley and Amber. He is also survived by his siblings; Yvette, Alice, Aline, Suzanne, & Joanne all of VT Cecile & Robert of FL, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was also predeceased by his siblings; Gerry, Louis, Colombe, Bridget, Claire, Lawrence and Roland.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Enfield K of C Hall, 371 Geo. Washington Rd. in Enfield on Saturday April 22, 2017 at 1:00 p.m.
